Brickstone Africa is an Infrastructure Accelerator with strong competencies in the Appraisal , Advisory and Project Development of large scale industrial; and also infrastructure projects in Africa.

Brickstone’s early-stage project development competencies apply throughout the entire process of developing capital-intensive projects; but with the objective of ensuring profitability and protect its long-term asset value for sponsors.

Femi Awofala founded Brickstone Africa in 2009  as a Real Estate Advisory firm but have evolved into becoming an early-stage infrastructure accelerator in conjunction with a team of professionals having vast commercial and financial management experience range from sourcing, developing, closing and delivering equity, project/ corporate finance and other contractual structures across major infrastructure projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Femi is the founder of Brickstone and has practical experience in advising companies and governments on private investments in energy , real estate and infrastructure, including structuring and executing project/structured financings and M&A transactions. He leads Brickstone’s Origination & Commercial advisory team in Energy, Infrastructure and Real Estate

Femi was an investment banking professional with Vetiva Capital Management Limited where he led teams on several M&A transactions, capital raisings programmes as well as structured/project financings of over $500 million.

Prior to joining Vetiva Capital Management Limited, he was at the ARM Investment Mangers and was part of the private equity real estate team and he assessed potential real estate investment opportunities, prepared detailed financial models and valuations and oversaw property development, construction management, coordinated marketing, contract negotiations and closings for a real estate developments;

Key projects included acquisitions of medium–upper income residential and commercial properties in the Lagos and Abuja, equity placement and advisory services for the raising of a $90 million private equity real estate fund that invests in real estate projects in West Africa, the US$ 350 million Toll Road Project in Lekki, Lagos.

Femi has a first degree – B.Sc Geology from University of Ibadan and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos Business School, Pan-African University. He is a Policy Member of the Infrastructure Policy Group, Nigeria Economic Summit Group.

Gamal is an Senior Advisor to Brickstone and has over three decade of experience in projects’ management, procurement issues and coordination and dealing with contractors and administering all contractual matters related to site supervision and contract implementation.

Gamal has over 27 years worked with Dar Al-Handasah Consultants, a leading global international multidisciplinary consulting organization for engineering, architecture, planning, environment, project management, and economics where he was the Area Manager in West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, and Chad).

Gamal lead, co-ordinate and managed various West African landmark projects which includes;

  • Kaduna Hydroelectric Dams, Nigeria

Raymond is an Associate and a member of the Contract Administration and Accounts Team

Mr. Pratt’s responsibilities at Brickstone include the preparation of periodic management accounts, managing the firm’s financial reporting and accounting processes, liaising with tax and audit consultants as well as overseeing the operations function.

  • Leads in the responsibility and accountability for all administrative and accounting procedure, budgeting, cash flow, internal controls, monitoring and preservation of the company assets for Brickstone
  • Direct these efforts in a manner which accomplishes the goals and objectives of Brickstone
  • Ensure appropriate procedures for financial reporting, record keeping and documentation which maintains files in an orderly, accurate and current manner
  • Oversee the Chart of Accounts for Brickstone’s Construction projects to accurately reflect cost center income and expenses and general and administrative expenses in order to ensure accurate financial reporting

Raymond excelled in the Graduate Project Programme and is a specialist in Contract Administration and Accounting

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and is in the Final Stage of ICAN Certification.

Ayobami Adeleke is an Analyst and a member of the Advisory & Financing Team.

He is focused on projects involving companies and governments on private investments in real estate and infrastructure, including feasibility studies, structuring and performing financial due diligence, developing complex financial models, performing credit analyses, drafting business plans

Ayobami holds a BSc. Degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos.

He has assisted clients in business planning, modeling and valuation, investment appraisals and asset optimization strategies

Tosin is an Analyst and a member of the Commercial Advisory Team. He is focused on projects involving private investments in commercial real estate and infrastructure, including feasibility studies, structuring and performing financial due diligence, developing complex financial models, performing credit analyses, drafting business plans

Tosin holds a Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Engineering from Coventry University in the UK
