1. LEGAL & CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal & Corporate Development personnel to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the company’s growth initiatives through strategic planning, market analysis, and execution of corporate development activities.
The role is part of the leadership team involved in the front-operations of the firm by introducing, advancing, promoting and sustaining the firm clients. Manages the firm’s business development and client relationship management activities.
Please Note: This is a fulltime hybrid role ( 3 days in-person and 2 days-online) and the work location is located within Lagos Mainland around Ikeja, Off Allen, Lagos
2. MAIN ASPECTS OF THE JOB
A. Legal Advisory
You would work in a team where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Your activities include:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters to clients
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with clients, vendors, and other parties in Infrastructure Deals
- Conduct Procurement Process for Off-taker Search, Operator Search and Vendor Search in Project Counter Parties
- Support Internal Agreements such as Employment Agreements, MOUs, Vendor Contacts and Compliance with CAC
- Facilitate Project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting outcomes and action items.
B. Corporate Development and Client Interface
You would work in a team where your role will include:
- Take lead on Client Relationship and ensure that clients are satisfied with the company at all times and will bring in repeated business by resolving any outstanding issues.
- Build relationships with the decision makers within potential partner organisations for Brickstone and The African Catalyst offerings
- Develop the systems and procedures to enable the effective execution of new business development for Brickstone and The African Catalyst offerings
- Prepare, develop, and edit grant proposals, written responses to RFPs, marketing materials, donor funding requests, concept notes, and other partnership documents.
C. Programme Management
You would work in The African Catalyst (TAC) Events and Programmes team where your role will include:
- Lead and Assist in Curriculum Development for The African Catalyst (TAC) Course Trainings
- Assist in development and solicitation of Potential Participants and Partners aimed for the Brickstone & TAC events
- Assist in Programme Management for Speakers and other attendees
- Submitting relevant Decks and Proposals as well as management of pipelines and sales figures
- Develop Event Progress Reports on a monthly/weekly/daily basis, as progress and commitments are made
3. NATURE OF WORK
This is a fulltime hybrid role ( 3 days in-person and 2 days-online) and the work location is located within Lagos Mainland around Ikeja, Off Allen, Lagos
4. QUALIFICATION
Qualification & Technical Skills
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Law and LLB preferred . Post graduate degrees are an added advantage
- 3 to 6 year Experience in Legal Advisory, Corporate Law, Project Management and project finance transactions
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as solid presentation skills.
- Very Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to efficiently gather, process and analyse data provided by Analyst
Other Requirements
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly, Working with minimal supervision, Strong team skills
- Well-presented with good interpersonal skills
Payroll Consideration
- Payroll is begged at a minimum of NGN 400,000 per month (net) but this can be increased based on the experience/performance of candidate during assesment.
